Children's Church

IPA Children's church started in the year 2000 for children. After the Lord's Table Service is completed in the main sanctuary, kids between the ages of 5 and 10 are taken to the Fellowship Hall for Children's Church. These meetings take place every Sunday except when there is Youth Meeting in the main sanctuary (Youth Sundays).

This is a ministry that has produced much results over the course of the last few years.

Directors
Currently Sisters Stephanie Joseph and Sister Debbie Thomas, Blessy Varghese serve as Director and Associate Director respectively.

Children's church sessions
During every children's church meetings there is Prayer and Praise and Worship. After that one of the kids does the Psalm reading. There is also some time for testimony. After this we take the offering and someone is asked to prayer for the offering and for the people who gave their testimonies. Following this a Talent Demonstration. Then there is a devotional led by one of the Young Adults volunteers. There is also a "student-teacher" session wherein one of the kids speak from the Word of God. After that there is main Word ministry led by the Directors or Young Adults. Kids are also taught new songs in Children's church.

Activities
Children's church has also done the following activities/ projects:

• Sponsor-A-Child: This ministry is sponsoring the needs of one poor and needy child.
• Annual Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive: During Thanksgiving season, kids are encouraged and asked to bring at least one canned food item to the Children's Church so that it can be given to the Salvation Army.
  
• Arts and Crafts in special occasions.
  

 

In the past Sisters Stephanie Joseph, Lena Daniel, Beena Thomas, Susan (Biji) Pappachen, Lena Thomas, Shibi Franklin and Brother Suresh Rajan have served as Directors and Volunteers for this ministry.
