Rev. K.V. Abraham came to experience the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ in 1972. After witnessing the Lord in water baptism, God filled him with the Holy Spirit. God's call for ministry came in 1974 and Rev. Abraham went to seminary in 1976 to study the Word of God. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Theology at Bishop's College, Calcutta in 1982. Along with his theological studies, he completed M.A in Philosophy, M.A in History, and M.A in Sociology from Kerala University.
He started his ministry in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, where he often visited the religious pilgrims at the Ganges River, distributing tracts and sharing the gospel. During summer vacations, he worked with Operation Mobilization in North India and South India. In 1976, during the season of Kumpmela, one of the largest Hindu festivals, he witnessed of the Lord in Allahabad, India. Thereafter, he went to Sikkim, Nepal & Bhutan, Kalipong and Dargling to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Rev. Abraham also worked with Bible translators in Ootty, Tamil Nadu, Annadhapure, and Andhra Pradesh, India. Alongside other senior pastors, he was given opportunities to teach the Word of God in the Word of Faith Bible Institute, in Maveleakra, Kerala and Shalom Bible School. He also taught at the Faith Theological Seminary, in Manakkala, Kerala. Later, Rev. Abraham was appointed Academic Dean of Faith Theological Seminary.
Rev. Abraham immigrated to the United States in 1987. He was a member of India Christian Assembly, Hollis Queens. In 1988, Rev. Abraham served as the associate pastor when India Pentecostal Assembly was formed, under the leadership of the late Pastor K.V. Kurian. Rev. Abraham served as the senior pastor of IPA, Hicksville, NY between January 2003 and June 2008. He is currently the Pastor of Elim Full Gospel Assembly.
Rev. Abraham is a Bible teacher, counselor, and seminar organizer. God has blessed him with his wife, Sherly, and their children, Sherin and Nevelyn.
