Vision of the Youth

Youth Department

To be a youth that:

  • Perseveres in building a strong personal relationship with our God.

Matthew 22: 36-40: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

  • Perseveres in building a strong personal relationship with our neighbors, our enemies & our persecutors, in love. Matthew 22: 36-40.

  • We may be filled & led by the Spirit of God and that its fruit would be evident in our lives.

Romans 8: 14: 14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

Galatians 5: 22-23: 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, law.

  • We would hunger for The Word and its application in our lives.

Joshua 1: 8: 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Psalm 119: 11: 11 that I might not sin against you.

  • We would have a Christ-like character in every realm of our lives.

Philippians 2: 5: In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!

  • We would be united, as one body, under one head, Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 4: 1-6: I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no I have hidden your word in my heartbody and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; Lord, one faith, one baptism; and in all.

Psalm 133: 1: 1 How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!

  • We would be carriers of the Gospel.

Romans 10: 15: 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

  • We would live a life that honors God.

Romans 12: 1: Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

  • We would be of service to anyone in need.

Matthew 25: 35-40: 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

  • We would speak truth, love, life and wisdom at all times.

Proverbs 12: 19: 19 Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.

Proverbs 18: 21: 21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

  • We would be a youth that does not waiver in the responsibilities that God has entrusted us.

Colossians 3: 23: 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.

  • We would reach out to the youth and encourage them, for today’s youth is tomorrow’s future.

1 Timothy 4: 12: 12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

  • We would always be God’s best because we are his choicest creation.

Jeremiah 1: 5: 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
